Yes I am back and hopefully for good this time.
Reasons for my absence?
Well, ISP problems, poor health.... Malaria, the usual heavy workload. Nothing major, just your usual Naija excuses for reneging on promises.
Anyways, I'm glad to be back! Whats been happening to me? 'Life', thats what.
Its wedding season again and of course 'Aso-ebi' blues have begun.
I dont really mind the idea of group identifying themselves with a common dress code, for instance, groom's family in green damask, brides family in gold aso-oke, and perhaps friends of the couple in orange headties. I dont mind any of that, as a yoruba babe I shouldnt, afterall, no be we invent the concept? I dont mind having to pay for my own. What I vehemently oppose is the inconsideration of some people in picking an appropriate uniform for their guest.
I believe that in this wedding season people should understand that most people have multiple commitment aside their own party and so should show some consideration in ensuring that they dont overburden others with outrageously priced aso-ebi(s).
A very close friend would be getting married on the !st weekend of January 2008 and she has started asking us to come pay for the uniform. according to her she travelled abroad to pick the fabric so that we can be sure of the quality. when I added the cost of the fabric, the cost of getting it sewn, the cost of purchasing all the necessary accessories that'll complete 'the look', methinks 'll be having ISP problems, malaria and heavy workload on the day o! Haba! I have other commitments now. Two of my Cousins would be gatting married this December and I must be a good big sis for them, not to mention all the usual end of year expenses and gift giving.
Any aso-ebi thats over N5ooo will not be getting my attention again.
Anyway sha, I've told my friend that I cant partake of her aso-ebi, she's not too happy about it but wetin I wan do.
Sorry about the sudden use of italics, my finger hit a button on this laptop and i dont know which button it is. mr. Man 'll fix it in the morning.
Nice night y'all.

cant believe its been 3 days
cant believe its been 3 days since i made my 1st post on my blog.
when i started this blog i thought i'd be posting every spare minute i had, but i must confess that i've not had much of a spare moment since then plus the fact that my dh has been hugging the laptop making it difficult for me to gain access.
Anyway am glad to be back.
This is my 1st blogging experience and i guess am learning as i go.
I read a few blogs by other women and am so inspired by the layout and content of these blogs.
Am hereby inviting other blogger with some more experience to please feel free to offer me some of their proven tips for successful blogging. I'd appreciate any advice I get.
Need to go feed my darling daughter now so till the next time, it TTFN.
